In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson declared Mother’s Day a National Holiday. The second Sunday in May is always Mother’s Day so this year the date is May 9th. It is a special day to celebrate all mothers and the wonderful things they have done and continue to do for our betterment. Of course every day we try to honor our mothers but they deserve a special day named for them.
Mother’s Day should be filled with great loving memories. After all this special lady took care of you when you were sick, attended your school events and was someone you could talk with any time. This is the one day per year that everything revolves around showing mom how much you love her. Steve’s Flowers and Gifts was created in 1973 by Steve and Linda Huth. This couple possessed the formula for success by being committed to great work ethic, passion and a love for pleasing customers. Their philosophy from the start was making sure customers were not just satisfied but in fact delighted. The dedication and commitment towards this goal allowed the Huth’s to move into a larger facility in 1976, and open a second location in the fast growing town of Greenwood in 1982. In October of 1988, Steve designed and had built their own building which consists of 7,000 square feet.
The company has a greenhouse, card and gift display area, design room, plant department, and a large receiving and delivery area. This makes for a wonderful client experience. All customers are accommodated with with exceptional service and a comfortable setting for shopping and browsing. Through the years, Steve has strived for excellent quality in designs, which led to the expansion of the original location in 1999. Expanding this location 3,000 more square feet enabled Steve to have a larger design center to monitor quality control and ensure customer satisfaction.
In 1995, Steve added the convenience of ordering online at www.stevesflowers.com. Today, Steve has made the commitment to adding the convenience of online ordering, while at the same time providing the Personal Service that his customers have come accustom to.
